Samuel SWISHER d. at his home yesterday morning. He had been a helpless invalid for five years. He leaves a wife and one son. Mr. Swisher was born in Virginiaa, and was a soldier in the Confederate army, coming to this country soon after the war. He had been a resident of Waveland for 15 years and was an excellent citizen and a worthy man. Funeral services will be held at Union Baptist Church at 10:30 tomorrow, conducted by Elder Dalby. The remains will lie in state at the late home on Howard Street from 8 to 9 a.m. tomorrow morning. - kbz
